How To Find An Adidas Style Number: Clothing And Shoes

If you’re looking to find your Adidas style number, we’ve got three quick and easy methods just for you. With each of these strategies, you’ll be able to find your Adidas style number in under 30 seconds.

In this post, we go over how to find an Adidas style number for both clothing items and shoes. That way, you will be able to find stock photos for your online listing or find an old but oh-so-loved Adidas item that you’re wanting to find again.

Using The Adidas Tag

The first method that we will discuss for finding your Adidas style number, also known as the item number or product code, is by using pieces of information on the item itself.

Adidas Clothing

When it comes to clothing items, finding a style number can be quick and easy. For most items, look at the inside seam of the garment.

You will see a bunch of tags that have information like the care instructions for washing and the material and fabric content. In addition to those things, you will also find the Adidas style number!

Let’s take this dress as an example. I purchased this item at Plato’s Closet during their $1 dress sale (read our Plato’s Closet review here!) as inventory for my online reselling business.

I looked on the inside seam and found a packet of tags. For your Adidas item, flip to the last tag in the pile. It will be smaller and square-shaped.

Look on the second line down, and you have found your Adidas item number! As you can see for this item, it is "DU1895." The Adidas style number will always be two letters followed by four numbers.

After finding your style number, input it into a Google search. You may have to put “Adidas” before the style number when you search.

By doing that, I was able to find out that my Adidas dress is the Team Issue Lite Athletic dress.

Adidas Shoes

Next, let’s go over finding the style number for Adidas shoes. This time, you’ll look on the inside of the tongue.

You will also be looking for the same sequence style number as with Adidas clothing. As we saw earlier, Adidas style numbers consist of two letters followed by four numbers.

In this example, you can see that the style number follows where it states “ART” on the shoe. By typing "BY3549" into Google, I was able to discover my shoes are the Adidas Edge Bounce Lux.

Using Google Lens

Many times tags may be removed from Adidas clothing items. If that is the case, you still have two more viable options for finding your Adidas model number.

With this method, we will go over performing a Google Reverse Image Search by utilizing Google Lens. For my iPhone users, you can either download the Google app and perform the search on there, or snap a picture and perform the search by navigating to the picture settings.

My non-iPhone users can directly download the Google Lens app to perform image searches. Either way, the first step is to take a picture of your item.

Next, perform the image search. You should see visual results that resemble, or even better, perfectly match your Adidas item.

Using Item Descriptors

Our last method for finding an Adidas style number involves creating and searching an item descriptor phrase. The idea is that you describe the item in great detail, and Google is able to pick it up and show you matching results.

When you formulate your descriptive phrase, be sure to include the brand, type of item, and any pertinent or unique details about the item. This can include, but is not limited to, the color, pattern, and style.

For example, when I type “Adidas athletic dress gray coral” I am able to see results for the same Team Issue Lite dress from the example earlier, this time without even needing to find the style number.
