Using The Michael Kors Inner Tag
The first method that we will go over involves using the inside tag of your Michael Kors item. This tag is also the one that has the washing instructions and outlines the materials of the garment.
To find this tag on your Michael Kors item, look on the left-hand inside seam. Usually, there will be 2-3 tags in a bunch that you will locate here.
Once you find them, flip to the very back tag. Then, look for the letter and number combination at the bottom of this tag.
A Michael Kors style number will always be 10 characters and consists of both letters and numbers. Below you will see a few examples.
In the above picture, the Michael Kors style number is “MU78X015ZV.”
In this next picture, the tag looks a little different. However, the style number tactic remains the same. The style number for this item is “MF88Y899VH.”
The tag style and look may vary depending on if the item is Michael Kors or Michael By Michael Kors. However, know that you are always looking for 10 characters when locating your style number.
So once you’ve located your style number, type it into a Google search. For example, “Michael Kors QU63F545HB” or “Michael Kors pants QU63F545HB.”
After this, you should see the search results with items that match your Michael Kors item. You may see results from the Michael Kors website itself, or see secondhand listings on sites like Poshmark and eBay.
Using The Michael Kors Price Tag
Next, let’s talk about how to locate the Michael Kors style number of an item if the price tag is still intact. So of course, the first step is to locate the price tag.
As we said with all Michael Kors items, we will be looking for a 10-character code. In the example below, you can see the style number for this Michael Kors keychain. It is located on the second line down and reads “36H0LHR00B.”
Again, use this style number in a Google search to find more information about the item or browse listings if you’re in the market to buy this item.
It is important to note that not all Michael Kors items will still have the tags attached. This does not mean all hope is lost because we will show you two more methods that don’t require using the Michael Kors tag.
Google Lens
With Google Lens, you can use an image to search the internet for visual results. First, make sure you have the Google app or Google Lens app downloaded on your smartphone.
After you’ve confirmed this, snap a picture of your Michael Kors item. It doesn’t have to be a fancy professional shot, but make sure you include the whole item and have decent lighting to capture the right colors.
Next, upload the picture of your item to the Google Lens or Google app. Here, you will perform your visual search.
After this, Google should show you visual results that match your Michael Kors item within a few seconds. It won’t always be the top result, so make sure you scroll through the results to try and find your item.
Due to there being so many garments and other items in production, the visual method may not work for your item every time. However, we still have one more viable option that we will go over next.
Keyword Descriptors
With this strategy, we will be curating a descriptive phrase to search on Google. Closely evaluate your Michael Kors item.
Start with typing the brand name and type of item, like “Michael Kors dress.”
Then, add other item descriptors like the length, color, pattern, style, neckline, sleeve length, and anything else that makes the item unique. It is best to start with a very long phrase because you can always take away or modify your search if you don’t find your item the first time.
The great thing is that all of these methods are extremely quick and easy. Seriously, each method should take you under one minute! So don’t get discouraged and try another method if one does not work for you.
