First, let’s discuss the format of a Calvin Klein style number. Unfortunately, Calvin didn’t make it super straightforward when it comes to this process.
Unlike many other brands, Calvin Klein model number formats vary from item to item. I have seen Calvin Klein item numbers range from 5 to 8 characters long, with different combinations of letter and number formats.
Additionally, Calvin Klein has both a Calvin Klein specific style number and a universal style number. When it comes to the difference between the Calvin Klein item number and the Universal style number, I’m sad to say I can’t answer that for you.
I reached out to a Calvin Klein associate, and they were unable to explain the difference between the two style numbers to me, either. The response I got was, “It’s the same item. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.”
However, this could be a good thing that every item has two different style numbers because this gives us more opportunities to identify our Calvin Klein items.
Calvin Klein Inner Tag
The first place to look for your Calvin Klein style number is on the inner tag of the garment. Typically you can find the style number tag on the inside seam of your clothing item.
This is located right next to the tag that outlines the care instructions and materials of the item. See our example in the picture below.
As you can see, there are two different number and letter combinations. With Calvin Klein having two different types of style numbers as we mentioned above, always take both into account
The next step to identifying your Calvin Klein item is taking your style number(s) and inserting them into a Google search. Using the example from above, search, “Calvin Klein CKTM2155” and/or “Calvin Klein W5ITZ493.”
See which item number, if any, leads you to your Calvin Klein item. However, if this method does not work, we’ve got another strategy to show you.
Using Google Image Search
The next way to find your Calvin Klein item number is by using a picture of your garment. This is perfect for someone who was unable to find their item with the tag method above, or if your item has had the tags removed.
With this method, take a picture of your Calvin Klein item. Next, upload it to a Google Reverse Image Search. You can do this through the Google Lens app or through your picture settings/options if you have the Google app downloaded.
After your search, you should begin to see items that resemble your Calvin Klein garment. Scroll through until you find your perfect match!
