Post A Public Comment / Message

The first way to reach out to a seller on Poshmark is by commenting directly on the item. Navigate to the listing, scroll to the area below the description, and you will see an area for comments.

Here are a few things you may want to ask for:

• More pictures
• Modeled pictures
• Close ups of flaws
• Measurements
• If the item has been altered
• If all pieces are included (ex. The belt, a slip underneath the dress)
• Clarify any conflicting information
• Just to say hello!

Refrain from attempting to negotiate price in the public comments. This typically is not appreciated by sellers. Instead, you can use the offer button and the next method of messaging a buyer that we’re going to discuss.

Send A Private Message

If you would like to ask a question or make a comment that you do not want to be seen by other users, there is an option to private message the seller. In order to do this, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Poshmark App
2. Find the item you want to message the seller about
3. In the top right corner of the listing, tap the sellers profile picture next to the shopping bag
4. Now you are in “My Bundle” and you can message the seller privately

Here, you can negotiate price and ask more questions about the item as needed. You may also want to ask about shipping time, and when the buyer plans to ship out the item to ensure you will receive it on time.

After Purchasing An Item

Further Questions About The Item

Maybe you saw the perfect item and got too excited to snatch it up that you forgot to ask a question. Or, maybe you purchased an item and went to show it off to your friend, however with this look through, you found you missed something.

If at all possible, try to complete this prior to 3 hours after you buy the item. That way, if you purchased through “Buy It Now”, you will have a chance to cancel the order without issues. 

If something comes up or you have changed your mind about the item, you can kindly message the seller asking them if they are able to cancel the order for you. This is not always guaranteed since it is fully up to the buyer.

If this happens and you still receive the item, you may be able to initiate a return on Poshmark.

Shipping Time

You may have bought something off of Poshmark that is a gift for someone or a special item you want to wear to an upcoming event. Sellers love to hear that you are excited to receive the item, however refrain from being too pushy about ship time. 

Usually if you let the buyer know you can’t wait to receive the item for a certain person or event, they feel more inclined to expedite the shipping process to keep a happy customer. 

However, keep in mind sellers have up to 3 business days to get the item out. So try to be as patient as you can and plan your purchases accordingly.

On Poshmark, you can either buy items at their full price or you can send an offer to see if you can get a discount. If you enter into a negotiation with a Poshmark seller, you may want to thank them for accepting your offer.

2. Tap your username in the bottom right corner
3. Scroll and tap My Purchases
4. Tap on the item you are referencing
5. Tap Message Seller
