What Is A Lululemon Color Code?
A Lululemon color code is a sequence that the retailer uses to keep track of their color schemes.
Different colors can be intermingled between items. For example, a pair of shorts and a pair of leggings can both have the same Lululemon colorway, and thus the exact same color code.
A Lululemon color code is also useful for consumers wanting to find the same color of a specific item.
For example, you have an old pair of Lululemon Align leggings. They’re past their prime, and you want to find the exact pair again.
You could get any pair of Align leggings, but you want the same color! This is where the color code comes in handy. By searching with your color code or color name, you'll be able to find the exact item you're looking for with ease.
But what does a color code look like? We’ll discuss that next.
Color Code Structure
Before we get to how to find a Lululemon color code, you first need to know what you’re looking for. A color code is a four-character combination.
Specifically, it will be four letters of the alphabet. The color code will always be correlated with a color name. Color codes and names are needed due to the wide variety of color schemes that Lululemon uses.
For example, an orange pair of leggings isn’t just orange, it's “Terra Orange.” Similarly, a purple pair of Lululemon shorts isn’t just purple, it’s “Violet Verbena.”
As we talked about earlier, multiple different types of items can have the same color code and color name. That is because multiple types of items can have the same color.
Where To Find Your Color Code
If you’re looking for a Lululemon color code, there is only one known place to look. This is on the original Lululemon price tag. If you’re looking at a Lululemon tag, the color code will be situated above the barcode.
This is also located to the right of the Lululemon style number. Again, the color code will be a 4 four letter code. In the example below, the color code is GLSC.
How To Use A Lululemon Color Code
So you’ve found your color code. But now what?
With this information, the next step is to perform a Google search. First, navigate to the Google search bar. Here, type Lululemon followed by your color code. For the example above, you would type, “Lululemon GLSC.”
In the search results, websites like Lulufanatics and eBay popped up. After clicking through, I was able to find out the color name of my leggings.
In this example, I was able to find out that the Wunder Train leggings I just looked up are known as the color “Gold Spice.” That means that the code "GLSC" always refers to the color Gold Spice.
I Can’t Find My Color Code, Now What?
As you can see, there are limited options for finding your Lululemon color code. The color code is unfortunately not able to be located on the Lululemon rip tag or size dot.
However, not all hope is lost! There is still another way to find your color code and color name.
The first way is by using your Lululemon style number. If you’re not familiar with a Lululemon style number or how/where to find it, be sure to read our complete guide on finding a Lululemon style number first.
For this example, we will stick with our same Wunder Train Gold Spice leggings. The style number for this pair of leggings is "LW5CQDS." This can be found on either the original price tag or the size dot.
From here, perform a search on Lulufanatics with this style number. This will pull up all of the items that identify with that same style number.
This also involves showing all of the color combinations of the item. See the example below, where I input "LW5CQDS" into the Lulufanatics search bar.
Scroll through these results until you find a color that matches yours. Here, you’ll be able to find the Lululemon color name. Now you can use your color name to search on Google and find the Lululemon item and color that you're looking for.
So now that you’ve learned what a Lululemon color code looks like and how to find one using multiple methods, happy Lululemon hunting!
