Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bags have taken the world by storm. That is why it’s important for consumers to have the skills to determine if their Lululemon belt bag is fake or real.
After all, I’m all about scoring a good deal and shopping secondhand. There are thousands of very tempting listings on secondhand marketplaces like Poshmark and eBay for Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bags.
However, it can be intimidating to purchase secondhand due to fears of ending up with a fake Lululemon Belt Bag. Prior to purchasing my own belt bag on Poshmark, I did some in-depth research on Lululemon and Lulu Fanatics to help me determine the real deal.
That is why, in this post, I’m excited to teach you 6 different telltale signs of authentic Lululemon Belt Bags.
Lululemon Belt Bag Models
Over the years, Lululemon has had different releases of Everywhere Belt Bags. The first release, which started the belt bag trend, was in 2018.
And this is where It all started, with the original Everywhere Belt Bag. After that, a second release was initiated in 2019.
In addition to the original belt bags, Lululemon also released belt bags with increased strap lengths, increased inner storage, and even a fleece version.
In this post, we’ll go over the staple characteristics of an authentic Lululemon Belt Bag so you won’t have to worry if your Lululemon belt bag is fake or real.
In this section, we will go over the differences in the buckle placement and verbiage.
All Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bags have a buckle mechanism that allows you to release the strap if you would like to take the belt bag off or clip it onto something else. The placement of this buckle on the strap in relation to the zipper varies between the releases of the belt bags.
With older models of belt bags, the buckle will be closest to the zipper when it is in the closed position. That is, when the bag is zipped shut.
However, newer models of belt bags have the buckle closest to the zipper when it is in the open position, or when the bag is unzipped/open. Because of this, do not be deceived if the buckle appears to be on the wrong side.
Use the other strategies that we will outline in the remainder of this post to help determine if you have a fake Lululemon Belt Bag.
To check your Lululemon Belt Bag for authenticity, unclip the buckle and look at the middle prong. Here, you should be able to see where it says “Stealth Warrior.”
Although it is difficult to read, the words "Stealth Warrior" should be located within the orange box as seen in the picture above. This is another confirming sign that your Lululemon Belt Bag is real.
When you look at the interior of a Lululemon Belt Bag, you’ll notice a specific setup of the inner pockets.
There will be three main sections. On the inside surface that is against your body when you’re wearing it, there will be one long inner mesh pocket that spans the entire inside.
On the opposite side, there will be two mesh pockets. Essentially this is the long pocket on the other side being split into two.
In addition to the three inner pockets, there will also be a zip pocket in the back outside of the bag. This is located where the bag rests on your body if you are wearing it.
Every Lululemon Belt Bag has the Lululemon logo hardware on the front of the bag. It is located, when you are looking at the bag, at the bottom right corner.
With older bags, the Lululemon logo may be a hard rubbery material. For newer Everywhere Belt Bag models, the logo will be metal.
The Lululemon logo will always be a perfect circle and have well-defined borders.
One obvious way to tell if you have a fake Lululemon Belt Bag is by checking the color or pattern of the bag. You can do this by visiting Lulu Fanatics.
Lulu Fanatics is a site that houses information from all released Lululemon items. Go onto the site, search Everywhere Belt Bag, and scroll through the results to see if that specific color or pattern has been produced.
If you are unable to find it, that should raise a flag when it comes to the authenticity of your Lululemon Belt Bag.
In addition to the variations in the Lululemon logo, the materials and presentation of the Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag zipper will differ even among authentic bags.
Some older models of Everywhere Belt Bags will not state “Lululemon” on the zipper. If this is the case, it will be a metal zipper with horizontal lines on one side and the Lululemon logo on another side.
Newer models of Everywhere Belt Bags will have silver metal zippers that have the word “Lululemon” engraved into them.
The zipper pull for the back zip pocket, as mentioned above, will have an extra embellishment on it. There will be material tied onto the zipper with a rubber grommet. The rubber grommet will have the Lululemon logo on it.
When testing to see if it is a fake Lululemon Belt Bag versus the real deal, always check the stitching. Lululemon items are quality, and therefore they don’t cheap out on the stitching.
Authentic Lululemon Belt Bags will have pristine stitching, always straight and without flaws.
Lululemon Belt Bags will also have an inside Lululemon rip tag. It is located on the inside of the bag on the opposite side of the front logo.
The look of the tag will also vary depending on the age of the Lululemon Belt Bag. However, all Lululemon Belt Bags will have a few of the same characteristics.
All belt bags will have the Lululemon logo on the inner tag. Both old and new belt bags will also have the size, which in this case, is O/S for one size.
However, the font and size of the O/S will vary. On older Lululemon Belt Bags, the O/S will be at the very top in small print. That is likely because they had to fit the word Llululemon” on the tag.
On newer models of belt bags, they dropped the “Lululemon” line. Instead, they’ve made the O/S in a bigger font.
Additionally, these newer belt bags have the word "Lululemon" on the inside, above the one large pocket, on a rubbery piece of material.
