Since I have personally worked at Plato’s Closet and continue to be a loyal customer, I will speak from my experience and knowledge. Most Plato's Closet locations operate during these hours:

• Monday thru Saturday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Be sure to check with your local store prior to making the trip out. Either call the store, use the online store locator, or look on their social media page to see their current hours. 

Hours of operation may also vary depending on holidays, sale days, and pending staffing.

Buying Hours: What to Know

In this section, we will go over the specific buying hours for Plato's Closet locations.

What Time Does Plato’s Closet Start Buying?

For most stores, buying begins once the store opens. Using the information from above, most stores begin buying at 10:00 AM on Monday through Saturday, and start buying at 11:00 AM on Sunday.

However, this may not be the case for every location so be sure to call the store or check their social media for the latest updates on buying hours.

What Time Does Plato’s Closet Stop Buying? 

When it comes to the buying cutoff time, Plato’s Closet typically ends its processing of buys at around 1-3 hours before the store is set to close. This will vary depending on the location.

So, as you can see from earlier, your Plato’s Closet store may have buying hours that end between 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, buying hours may end as early as 3:00 PM to as late as 5:00 PM.

Buying Hours Tips

As mentioned earlier, be sure to reach out to the store to inquire about their specific buying hours. In recent days, some Plato’s Closet stores have announced that they cut off their buying hours earlier than those outlined above.

For example, some stores with either short staffing or an increased volume of buys may not buy at all one day, or announce that they are stopping the acceptance of new buys at any point throughout the day.

This is why it is important to speak to someone at the store or check for social media updates so you don’t end up frustrated and wasting a trip to the store!

But let’s say you take the trip to the store and they have either stopped buying for the day or it is past regularly scheduled buy hours. If this is the case, some stores may allow you to fill out the buying form and leave your items overnight to be completed the next day.
