Trading On Poshmark: 4 Red Flags To Look Out For

On Poshmark, you can buy and sell new and pre loved clothes, shoes, and other items.

Besides buying and selling, did you know you can trade on Poshmark?

That’s right! In Poshmark terms and conditions, it specifically states trading is allowed on Poshmark.

However before entering into a trade, there are a few things you should know including red flags to look out for.

1. A New Account

A new Poshmark user may be a red flag to look out for because a person may be creating many new accounts to find sellers to scam with a trade.

2. Sales With No Love Notes

If see someone’s closet that you are wanting to trade with and you see many sold items with no love notes, this may be a red flag.

Sales without love notes may mean the seller is getting low ratings. This is because love notes can only be seen with 5 star ratings.

3. Lack Of Pictures

Closely inspect the pictures to determine the quality of the item. If necessary, ask for additional photos including any defects, tags, embellishments, and more.

Inspecting the item carefully is especially important because Poshmark’s Posh Protect program does not cover items if a trade interaction goes south.
