How Much Does Mercari Take? Selling Fees in 2023

Mercari is a popular secondhand online marketplace for clothing, shoes, household items, electronics, plus so much more.

There are a variety of fees that Poshmark charges its sellers, and it is important to understand all of them.

First, there are transaction fees. These include a selling fee and a processing fee.

The selling fee is 10% per item. For example, if an item sells for $55, Mercari will take $5.50 from your earnings.

In addition to the selling fee, there is a processing fee that charges 2.9% + $0.50 per order.

Therefore, you are charged approximately 13% + $0.50 per item sold.

Luckily though, there is no listing fee on Mercari. It is free to list an unlimited amount of items.

Depending on if you choose to offer free shipping, you may have to pay the shipping fee.

The last set of fees come when it's time to redeem your earnings.

There is a $2 fee  if you cash out an amount less than $10.

There is also a $2 fee if you choose the Instant Pay option.

Lastly, if you cash out and the transaction fails for any reason (account number error, etc), you will be charged $2.

However, all of the cashing out fees can be avoided if you cash out more than $10 with standard direct deposit.
